Flowers and a View at McKee Peak

Recently a friend and I hiked the short distance to McKee Peak in Abbotsford for, as we collectively say “peak bagging, tick mark gathering, and blog feeding”. He likes to achieve at least one peak a month (check out his web map I created) and earn ‘tick marks’ for completing hikes in various hiking books. The blog feeding is of course for myself. We had been up to McKee Peak last April though on this trip we had more flowers to photograph.

We didn’t have as clear a view this time from the southward facing view point, but still nice to see. That is Highway 1 running right to left and behind that is the sinuous and tree lined Sumas River.

  1. Lovely to be there just at the right time to capture the flowers and be able to name them all with the help of your little book, sometimes.
