What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

Third Party Services

Like most website operators, spam is a constant and annoying reality that has to be dealt with. We utilize third party services to prevent and manage that threat. The information supplied to them is covered in their privacy policies.

Invisible reCAPTCHA is utilized on our site for the Contact and Subscribe forms to confirm a real users is using that form. Your use of this is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Akismet is an industry leading spam detection service created by Automatic used on the Comment forms to prevent spam. Please review their privacy policy and details on the service.

Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying Information

We only discloses potentially personally-identifying information to contractors that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on our behalf (i.e. spam control, troubleshooting, etc.), and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using our website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. We will not rent nor sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For subscribed users we also store the personal information provide in your user profile until such time as you request it to be deleted.
